Abstract
This Complementary Law redefines the organizational structure of the State Secretariat for Agriculture, Supply, Aquaculture and Fisheries (SEAG). SEAG, created pursuant to Law No. 3.043 of 31 December 1975, is responsible to design and implement state public policies aimed at promoting the sustainable development of agriculture, livestock, fishing, aquaculture and related sectors in Espírito Santo. In particular, SEAG's objectives are: promote, coordinate and stimulate research programmes and analysis of interest for the sectoral development in the State; coordinate and monitor the preparation of related plans, programmes and projects; promote, coordinate and evaluate the execution of the forestry development policy and the preservation, conservation and recovery of renewable natural resources; promote, coordinate and evaluate the implementation of the control, inspection, plant health protection and inspection policy, as well as the inspection and health protection of animal origin products; elaborate, coordinate and evaluate land policy actions; and develop other actions aimed at promoting sustainable rural development.
