Decree No. 10.988 establishing the National Women's Entrepreneurship Strategy

This Decree establishes the National Women's Entrepreneurship Strategy "Brasil para Elas" and the Women's Entrepreneurship Committee. "Brasil para Elas" is a public policy to strengthen women's entrepreneurship as an alternative instrument for the country's socio-economic development. Its objectives are as follows: I - promote an environment favorable to the development of female entrepreneurship as a tool for economic and individual freedom; II - promote access to information on public policies, instruments and services that support the female entrepreneurship agenda; III - expand the supply of credit through the mobilization of public and private resources intended for investment and financing of female entrepreneurship; IV - promote actions that contribute to the economic autonomy of women in situations of vulnerability, in line with the provisions of the Programme "Auxílio Brasil"; and V - promote the development and financial sustainability of the business, through: a) entrepreneurial education focused on the needs of women entrepreneurs; b) dissemination of support networks for female entrepreneurship; and c) strengthening the ecosystem of innovative entrepreneurship and socio-environmental impact.
