Decree No. 16.228 establishing the Basic Structure and Competence of the Environment Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IMASUL).

This Decree establishes the Basic Structure and Competence of the Environment Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IMASUL). It specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of IMASUL. The purpose of IMASUL is to: propose, coordinate and execute environmental policy throughout the territory of the State and to enforce federal and state legislation on the subject. Without prejudice to the duties laid down in art. 23 of Law No. 6.035 of 2022, IMASUL is responsible for: proposing, developing, coordinating and supervising the execution of government policies and guidelines for environmental management of solid waste; proposing, developing, coordinating and supervising the execution of government policies and guidelines for environmental management of climate change.
