Abstract
This Law establishes the Regulation on State trade of seeds and planting material within the State of Santa Catarina. This Regulation, consisting of 7 Chapters, establishes all necessary requirements, including seed producer registration, to be satisfied in order to perform the above mentioned activity, aiming at guaranteeing the quality, identity and origin of the commercialised planting material, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply - MAPA. Offences and penalties for illegal activities are appended to the text.
