Abstract
This Law, consisting of 23 articles, establishes State trade of seeds and planting material within the State of Santa Catarina. It specifies the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform the above mentioned activity, according to Federal Law No. 10.711 and Federal Decree No. 5.153. This Law aims at guaranteeing the quality, identity and origin of the commercialised planting material, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply - MAPA. Inspection applies for any physical or legal individuals, who store, transport, trade, pack and use seeds or any planting material for planting commercialisation.
