Abstract
This Decree regulates State Law No. 9.665 of 19 July 2022 on the State Policy for the Aquaculture Sustainable Development in the State of Pará. The environmental licensing of aquaculture activities in the State of Pará is now governed by this Decree, except for shrimp farming in coastal areas, without prejudice to compliance with the provisions of other national and state legislation. Simplified environmental licensing, whose self-declaratory form will be available on the official website of the competent environmental body, does not exempt the interested party from obtaining other licences and authorizations legally required at the municipal, state or federal level. The Simplified Environmental Licence (LAS) will be valid for up to 5 years, with the possibility of being issued with a shorter validity period, following a well-founded technical analysis.
