Decree No. 4.374-R creating the State Task Force for the Supervision on the Security of Water Dams (FTFSB).

This Decree, consisting of 8 articles, creates, within the State of Espírito Santo, the Task Force for the Security of Water Dams (FTFSB). The Task Force is aimed to carry out technical inspections in the structures of the dams, to guarantee the regularity of licensing and registration and to indicate the entrepreneur responsible for guaranteeing the safety of the dam. The following entities are part of the FTFSB: State Agency for Water Resources (AGERH), the Institute for Agriculture and Forestry Protection of Espírito Santo (IDAF), the State Institute of Environment and Water Resources (IEMA), the State Secretariat for Environment and Water Resources (SEAMA), the Secretary of State Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries (SEAG) and the State Coordination of Protection and Civil Protection (CEPDEC/ES). The general coordination of the work of the FTFSB is under the responsibility of AGERH. The purpose of FTFSB is to regulate the technical performance of the participating bodies, which, in a cooperation regime and without prejudice to their typical competencies, carry out the activities provided for in AGERH Resolutions 071/2018 and 072/2018 and to comply with Federal Law No. 12.344/2010, in order to guarantee the compliance with dam safety standards.
