Decree No. 46.712 regulating Law No. 20.608 on the State Policy for Food Acquisition of Family Farming (PAAFamiliar).

This Decree, consisting of five Chapters, regulates Law No. 20.608 on the State Policy for Food Acquisition of Family Farming (PAAFamiliar). It is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); State Policy on Food Acquisition of Family Farming - PAAFamiliar (Chap. II); Joint Management Board (Chap. III); Social Control (IV) and Final provisions (Chap. V). The main objectives of PAAFamiliar lay on the implementation of the following sectors: promoting the organization and modernization of production and improving the flow of products from family farms; stimulating the production of family farming, contributing to the practice of appropriate prices and expansion of consumption of their products market; encouraging the purchase of products from family farming in purchases made by state agencies and encouraging the consumption of healthy and sustainable food that valorise local and regional food culture.
