Decree No. 48.690 establishing the new Regulations and amending the organizational structure of the State Environment Institute (INEA).

This Law establishes the new Regulations and amends the organizational structure of the State Environment Institute (INEA). INEA, created by State Law No. 5.101 of 4 October 2007, aimed at implementing the State's environmental, water resources and forestry policies as provided for by law or established by the competent bodies, is part of the Indirect State Public Administration, linked to the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability, endowed with administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy. The Institute will act as the administrative authority for the environment, water and forestry resources, ensuring, under the terms of the law, the prerogatives necessary for the proper exercise of its powers.
