Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 32 articles divided into eight Chapters, regulates Law No. 4.771 of 1965 and Law No. 10.650 of 2003 on Sustainable forestry exploitation and successive formations under the regime of sustainable forest management, both in the public and in the private domain, will depend on prior approval of the Sustainable Forest Management Plan (PMFS) by the competent body of the National Environmental System (SISNAMA), under the terms of art. 19 of Law No. 4.771 of 1965. The forestry exploitation through the logging of natural vegetation will only be allowed with authorization of suppression for the alternative use of the soil issued by the competent body of SISNAMA. In addition, it rules on the Sustainable Forestry Management Plan, forest uses and licensing procedures for forest products transport. Particular attention is paid also to public information requirements.

This Decree enters into force on the date of its publication.
