Decree No. 62.682 creating and organizing the State Management Unit of the Project for the Protection of Services related to Climate and Biodiversity in the Southeastern Area of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest - Climate and Biodiversity Project in the Atlantic Forest.

This Decree, consisting of 5 articles, creates and organizes the State Management Unit of the Project for the Protection of Services related to Climate and Biodiversity in the Southeastern Area of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest - Climate and Biodiversity Project in the Atlantic Forest. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Unit which will be implemented by the following bodies and entities: I - The Secretariat for the Environment is responsible for implementing the actions related to Component 2 of the Agreement No. GRT/FM-14550-BR - Increase of carbon stocks in the Paraíba do Sul Hydrographic Basins; II - the Foundation for the Conservation and Forest Production of the State of São Paulo - Fundação Florestal is responsible for implementing the actions related to Component 3 of the above mentioned Agreement: Increasing the effectiveness and financial sustainability of the Units Conservation along the Serra do Mar Corridor and promotion of sustainable economic activities in its intermediate zones; III - the Foundation for Research Support of the State - FAPESP is responsible for implementing the actions related to Component 1 of the above mentioned Agreement: Training for management and monitoring of carbon stocks and biodiversity.
