Abstract
This Decree regulates Law No. 8.830, of 21 January 2008 on the State Policy for the Management and Protection of the Upper Paraguay River Basin in the State of Mato Grosso, and provides for the Restricted Use Area of the Upper Paraguay River Basin Floodplain (BAP), in the State of Mato Grosso. The purpose of this Decree is to regulate the administrative procedures to be observed for suppressing native vegetation, replacing native pastures and managing grassland vegetation with a view to restoring and maintaining it in the landscapes of the BAP for the purposes of ecologically sustainable exploitation and alternative land use in the Pantanal region.
