Decree No. 9.357 amending Decree No. 7.520 on the National Programme for Globalisation of Access and Use of Electric Energy for All “Luz para Todos”.

This Decree amends Decree No 7.520 on the National Programme for Globalisation of Access and Use of Electric Energy for All “Luz para Todos”. Amendments deal with administrative and legal proceedings. In particular, it specifies that beneficiaries of the Programme are families living in rural areas who do not yet have access to the public electricity service, with priority for: low-income families enrolled in the Federal Government's Single Registry of Social Programmes; families benefiting from government programmes that aim at social and economic development; rural settlements, indigenous communities, 'quilombolas' and other communities located in extractive reserves or directly impacted by generation or transmission projects of electric energy, whose responsibility is not the concessionaire's own responsibility; and schools, health posts and community water wells. The Ministry of Mines and Energy shall define the goals and deadlines of the "LUZ PARA TODOS" Programme, for each State or in a concession or permit area, and shall consider: the assistance to prioritized beneficiaries; the reduction of the tariff impact resulting from the realization of the Globalization Plan; etc.
