Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 25 articles, consolidates normative acts issued by the Federal Executive Branch providing for the National Fund on Climate Change, dealt with Law No. 12.114 of 9 December 2009, and the National Policy on Climate Change, dealt with Law No. 12.187 of 29 December 2009. The principles, objectives, guidelines and instruments of public policies and government programmes should comply with the National Policy on Climate Change, created by Law No. 12.187 and regulated by this Decree. The National Plan on Climate Change will be integrated by the action plans for the prevention and control of deforestation in biomes and by the sectorial plans for mitigation and adaptation to climate change, which are dealt with in art. 6th and art. 11 of Law No. 12.187 of 2009. The revisions of the National Plan on Climate Change will take place prior to the elaboration of the Multiyear Plans and the revisions of the sectoral plans and those intended for the protection of biomes in regular periods not exceeding two years.
