Law No. 12.280 establishing control on pesticides to be carried out within the State of Goiás.

This Law, consisting of 21 articles, establishes control on pesticides to be carried out within the State of Goiás. It establishes requirements to be satisfied in order to perform the above mentioned activity and specifies competent authority entitled for managing sectors related to: production, storage and exploitation of pesticides used for: agricultural purpose, pastures, native or implanted forest protection and used for urban, water and industrial purposes (including requirements for registration, classification, information to be displayed on labels, etc.). Controls and sanctions to be paid by offenders for the illegal use of pesticides will be under the competence of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Secretariat of Health and the Agency for Environment of Goiás.
