Abstract
This Law amends Law No. 10.431 on the State Policy on Environment and Biodiversity Protection. Amendments deal with the requirements of the State Plan for Environment (PEMA) and for Biodiversity Protection (PEPB) which will define needed institutional mechanisms for an integrated sustainable management of environment, aiming at: protecting the local biodiversity, ecosystems and habitats of the State, developing mechanisms of integration for environmental policies with socio-economic policies; developing baselines for designing and structuring policies for the sustainable management of biomass of the State of Bahia; developing baselines to establish environmental quality parameters.
