Abstract
This Law, amending Law No. 11.958, creates the Centre for Strategic Technologies of Nordeste State, the National Research Institute of Pantanal and the National Institute of Water. The Centre for Strategic Technologies of Nordeste State aims at developing, introducing and improving technological innovations that have strategic importance for economic and social development of the Nordeste region, through the promotion of the cooperation based on knowledge networks and agents in the Nordeste economy. The National Research Institute of Pantanal aims at integrating and coordinating actions in the Pantanal region, through the promotion of new initiatives and encouraging the development of models and databases to integrate the transfer of knowledge generated in the region. The National Institute of Water aims at implementing innovative actions in environmental framework, focusing on the preservation, generation of knowledge and new technologies in the rational use of water resources.
