Abstract
This Law, composed of 59 articles, rules on the organization of Government institutions and ministries. In particular, it adds new councils as advisory bodies directly collaborating with the Presidency of Republic in several specific fields such as, for instance, food security, energy, aquaculture. Moreover the Law defines competences and organization of all ministries and other bodies.

It amends: art. 7 of Law No. 10.233 of 5 June 2001; Art. 16 of Law No. 9.613 of 3 March 1998; Art. 2 of Law No. 8.442 of 14 July 1992. It repeals Law No. 9.649 of 27 May 1998.This Law has been repealed by Law No. 13.502 of 1 November 2017 establishing the basic organization of the organs of the Presidency and the Ministries of the Republic.
