Law No. 18.295 creating the Environmental Regularization Programme for Rural Properties of the State of Paraná (PRA).

This Law, consisting of 13 Chapters, creates the Environmental Regularization Programme for Rural Properties of the State of Paraná (PRA). It establishes the above mentioned Environmental Programme within the State of Paraná, comprising a set of actions and initiatives to be developed by landowners and users in order to adapt and promote environmental compliance in accordance with Chapter XIII of the Federal Law No. 12.651. This Law establishes the instruments of the Environmental Regularisation Programme which are: the Rural Environmental Registry - CAR; the Commitment Agreement; the Recovery of Degraded Areas Project - PRAD, and Environmental Reserve Compensation. It specifies rural family property requirements in order to benefit from financial aspects; protecting measures to be adopted for the recovery of Permanent Preservation Areas, presented by PRAD; the regulating instrument of Legal Reserve area if necessary; performance schedule of measures which should integrate the PRAD. In rural properties, described in art. 3 of the Federal Law No. 12.651, the Government will provide technical support for the restoration of the vegetation of the Legal Reserve, through the dissemination of technical information and seedlings of native species and agroforestry interest, in accordance with programmes established by the Government of State of Parana.
