Abstract
This Law creates the State System of Environmental Services (SISA), the Programme of Incentives to Environmental Services (ISA). SISA aims at promoting the maintenance and extension of demand for the following services and ecosystem products: conservation, maintenance and improvement of the stock and diminution of the flux of carbons; conservation of natural heritage; conservation of socio-biodiversity; conservation of waters and water services; climate balancing; valorisation of culture and traditional knowledge for the local ecosystem; and conservation of improvement of soil, according to State Law No. 1.904 and Federal Law No. 11.284. The Programme ISA Carbono aims at promoting the progressive reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, in a consistent and long term way in order to reach the State objective of the reduction of emissions caused by deforestation and forest degradation.
