Abstract
Law No. 3.880 amends Law No. 2.308 of 22 October 2010 on the State System of Incentives to Environmental Services (SISA), the Incentives Programme for Environmental Services (ISA Carbono) and other Programmes for Environmental Services and Ecosystem Products of the State of Acre. Amendments deal with the standards for valuation, measurement, quantification, verification, certification, registration and transparency of products and services related to socio-biodiversity that will be established by the Institution for Climate Change and Regulation of Environmental Services (IMC). In addition, it establishes new specific objectives of the ISA Clima Programme such as: climate regulation and climate change mitigation; adapting to climate change and preventing extreme weather events; reducing emissions and removing greenhouse gases from sources other than deforestation and forest degradation; the development of technologies, processes and practices that contribute to the mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
