Abstract
This Law amends the State Agricultural Development Policy of Minas Gerais by updating provisions related to agricultural research, innovation, and technology transfer. Its main objective is to strengthen the role of scientific and technological development in the agricultural sector by emphasizing the dissemination of technologies generated through agricultural research, particularly those based on agroecological and biotechnological approaches. The amendment seeks to ensure that research results are effectively transferred to agricultural producers and other actors in the sector, thereby enhancing productivity, sustainability, and innovation in rural development. The law also introduces a new policy objective focused on the promotion of digital technologies for agriculture. Specifically, it incorporates technologies for data collection, analysis, and management, as well as process automation systems adapted to agricultural production.
