Abstract
This Law, consisting of 25 articles divided into four Titles, creates the State System (SISDECON), the State Council (CONDECON), the State Fund (FEDC) and the State Institute for Consumers Protection (PROCON-AC) of the State of Acre to implement Federal Law No. 8.078 of 11 September 1990, and related legislation for the orientation, protection and supervision of consumers. This Law applies without prejudice to Conventions and Treaties of which Brazil is a signatory in the context of consumer rights throughout the territory of the State of Acre. The State System for Consumers Protection is responsible for: the orientation to consumers in general; the development of educational campaigns aimed at improving consumer relations; internalize actions related to education, protection and consumers protection; service to the parties involved in conflicts originating in consumer relations and their mediation; supervision and enforcement of the sanctions provided for in the relevant legislation; and the management of resources resulting from the application of the aforementioned sanctions.
