Law No. 7755 providing for sanitary and industrial inspection in establishments that process products of plant origin in the State of Piauí.

This Law aims to guarantee the identity, quality and safety of products and by-products of plant origin, including those originating from family farming and artisanal products produced throughout the territory of Piauí, for the protection of the consumer and public health. The inspection and inspection covered by this Law cover industrial and sanitary aspects in establishments that process products of plant origin, edible and inedible, whether or not products of animal origin are added, prepared, processed, handled, received, packaged, deposited, or in transit throughout the territory of Piauí. The following plant products are subject to the inspection and supervision: I - fruits; II - vegetables; III - cereals; IV - grains; V - beverages; VI - all plant products derivatives, including those of extractive origin.
