Abstract
This Norm creates the Biodiversity Authorization and Information System (Sisbio). It also establishes the Technical Advisory Committee for the Biodiversity Authorization and Information System (CAT-Sisbio), which will have the objectives of assisting IBAMA in evaluating and improving Sisbio. In addition, its main objectives aims to regulate the carrying out of the following activities for scientific or educational purposes in the national territory, on the continental shelf, in the territorial sea or in the exclusive economic zone: I - collection of biological material; II - capture or marking of wild animals in situ; III - temporary keeping of wild fauna species in captivity; IV - transport of biological material; V - receiving and sending biological material abroad; VI - conducting research in a federal conservation unit or underground natural caves. Authorizations to carry out planned activities for scientific purposes must be requested by the researcher via Sisbio.
