This Order prohibits the use of circle nets for tuna fishing to vessels exceeding 300 gross tonnage (between geographical coordinates 18º, 20'S and 29º, 15'S, specified in Decree No. 68.459 of the 1st April 1971). It establishes this prohibition in order to guarantee artisanal fishing resources.
