Order No. N-21 regulating the issuing of fishing authorization.

This Order regulates the issuing of fishing authorization. It consists of 2 Chapters establishing the requirements to be satisfied for obtaining a fishing licence. Requests of such authorizations (issued by Sudepe) must contain all information relevant to this activity (authorized fishing methods to be used, fishing areas, fish species to be exploited, vessel registration, etc.). Chapter 2 specifies fishing vessels' requirements (including taxes to be paid according to the different gross tonnage, etc.). Article 8 establishes foreign fishing vessel conditions in order to perform this activity (registration requirements). It also prescribes controls to be carried out by Sudepe services and lays down sanctions to be paid by offenders (including fishing licence suspension), in compliance with Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967.
