Abstract
This Order approves the State Contingency Plan for Animal Health (PECSA) as instructions of actions to be performed in Health Emergency events. This Contingency Plan, consisting of 11 Chapters, is a set of emergency procedures and decisions to be taken in case of an unexpected occurrence related to animal health of a particular event production system, in order to control and eradicate the disease as quickly as possible, while minimizing the production and economic losses resulting from a focus, as well as risks to human health and animal health. The PECSA specific purposes aims at sharing responsibilities between process participants in emergency animal health, through the establishment of functions and duties of the components of the Special Group of Suspected Disease Care Emergency (GEASE), the definition of intersectoral relations involved in the containment of process focus, the ranking of relationships between participants, THE determination of general strategies for emergency response in animal health and the organization of specific teams.
