Resolution CNNPA No. 17 authorizing the use of intentional additives, including manufacturing technology coadjuvants in food.

This Resolution, consisting of 14 articles, establishes the requirements to be met by intentional additives, including manufacturing technology coadjuvants in food. The National Commission on Standards and Food Standards of the Ministry of Health, according to articles 5, 9 and 59 of Decree-Law No. 986, establishes specific criteria for authorizing the use of coadjuvants for manufacturing technology and other intentional food additives, establishes the respective maximum limits and approve other measures for evaluation and use of these additives. The authorization for the use of intentional additives, including food technology coadjuvants, shall comply with this Resolution.
