Consumer Protection Act (No. 10 of 2023).

This Act lays down provisions on the continuation of the Consumer Commission and its functions, powers, directives, funds and resources; procedures of investigation and complaints; control of goods, such restriction of imports and recall of goods; the obligations of the provider, including as regards licensing and informing consumers of re-conditioned goods; the rights of consumers; product liability; unfair trade practices, such as false and misleading reprasentation; consumer contracts; dispute settlement; and order of the Court for payment of damages or costs.
