Marine Mammal (Captive Dolphin Facilities) Regulations, 2005 (Cap. 244A).

These Regulations set out rules relative to facilities for the keeping of captive dolphins. They: (a) prescribe requirements for the licensing of such facilities; (b) require licensees and trainers to observer various rules regarding the keeping of dolphins and licensees regarding duties to keep records including records on health and nutrition of dolphins and the environmental quality of the facilities; (c) require a licensee to submit an emergency contingency plan to the Minister; and (d) and define duties of licensees regarding the health and nutrition of dolphins. The Regulations further regulate, among other things, access to and contact with dolphins held in captivity and require the regular analysis of water in which dolphins are kept.
