Abstract
This Act establishes the Agricultural Resources Board, Conservation Committees and Subordinate Conservation Committees, defining their functions and powers. The 30 articles are divided into 6 Parts: Preliminary (I); Agricultural Resources Board (II); Functions and duties of the Board (III); Conservation and improvement of agricultural resources (IV); Appeals and general (V and VI).
The principal function of the Board shall be to exercise supervision as provided in this Act over the agricultural resources of Botswana. To conserve or protect agricultural resources, the Board may issue orders to owners and occupiers of land to adopt certain measures, and it may make Regulations to regulate agricultural land use practices in areas designated thereby (sect. 16).
