Abstract
These model Bye-laws provide rules relative to control of the use of boreholes in areas under the jurisdiction of District Councils. They shall apply in relation to boreholes to which a District Council provides public water supplies in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 4 of the Schedule to the District Councils Act.
A person may with permission and against a fee take water from a borehole for domestic purposes. The Bye-laws also concern the watering of stock. Stock shall be registered before it shall be allowed to be watered at a borehole.
