Decree No. 201 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on the State Pedigree Service.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food shall carry out the state administration of the State Pedigree Service and the state supervision over pedigree activity. Orders, regulations and instruction issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food in the sphere of pedigree activity shall be compulsory for legal persons irrespectively of the form of property and for natural persons engaged in pedigree stockbreeding. The State Pedigree Service shall have the following functions : 1) direction of pedigree stockbreeding and reproduction of agricultural animals; 2) conservation of genetic resources of pedigree livestock; 3) elaboration and introduction of the advanced techniques in the sphere of pedigree stockbreeding especially as regards artificial insemination, transplantation of embryos, reproduction and growing of young animals; 4) supervision over export of pedigree animals; 5) international cooperation in the sphere of pedigree stockbreeding.
