Decree No. 30 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on prophylaxis and liquidation of echinococcosis.

This Decree establishes requirements for diagnostics of echinococcosis, environmental protection arrangements, sanitary arrangements with a view of preventing and liquidating echinococcosis in animals. Complex arrangements for the prophylaxis and liquidation of larvaceous cestodiasis shall include: (a) veterinary and sanitary arrangements related to final host; (b) veterinary and sanitary arrangements related to intermediate host; (c) environmental arrangements; and (d) sanitary arrangements related to human beings. Slaughtering of cattle, swine and sheep must be carried out in specially designated areas.
