Abstract
Environmental audit shall include control over management and protection of soil, subsoil, surface water and groundwater, atmospheric air, ozone layer, forests, wildlife and plant species, protected areas and waste management practices. Environmental audit shall be compulsory ecological safety requirement nonobservance of which shall entail liability in accordance with the national legislation. Nature managers must elaborate, coordinate and validate the instructions on environmental audit. The main tasks of the environmental audit shall be: (a) to enforce environmental legislation; (b) evaluation of rational nature management; (c) control over the observance of natural resources extraction limits; (d) control over the management of hazardous substances and waste; (e) evaluation of negative environmental impact by economic and other activities; (f) control over the observance of maximum emission limit; (g) control over local environmental monitoring.
