Abstract
This Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on prevention and control of zooantroponoze dermatomycosis (dermatophytosis) sets forth basic provisions for combating zooantroponoze dermatomycosis (dermatophytosis) common to animals and human beings. It shall be mandatory for all economic entities irrespectively of the form of ownership and departmental subordination, state bodies and other organizations, and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs. Preventive arrangements applicable to domestic, agricultural, circus and service animals shall include: (a) identification and timely comprehensive prophylaxis of foci of dermatomycosis; (b) control by the state veterinary service of objects at high risk of contracting dermatomycosis; (c) monitoring of epizootic conditions for dermatomycosis; (d) prevention of introduction and spread of dermatomycosis among animals and specific prevention of trichophytosis in cattle; and (e) veterinary and sanitary education of the population on the prevention of infection and spread of dermatomycosis, as well as the rules for keeping and caring for domestic and farm animals. Veterinary specialists of livestock farms shall conduct preventive disinfection of dermatophytosis, veterinary experts of district or city veterinary stations shall conduct preventive disinfection of dermatophytosis twice a year (spring and autumn), and current - as the sick animals are identified.
