Decree No. 7 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating the Regulation on approbation of new breeds, lines, corsses and races of livestock.

This Decree establishes the modalities of performance of approbation of new breeds, lines, corsses and races of livestock. Approbation shall be performed under the following conditions: (a) availability of the minimum number of animals in accordance with the Annex 1; and (b) availability of the minimum genealogical structural units of livestock for approbation in accordance with Annex 2. In the process of approbation shall be tested: (a) expression of breed and uniformity of body structure without any visible external deficiencies and defects; (b) resistance during transfer of selection characteristics in the process of cross-bredding; (c) reproduction capacity of breed; and (d) resistance to diseases of livestock.
