Abstract
The present Fisheries Regulation focuses on the modalities of carrying out fisheries (catch of fish and aquatic invertebrates) in the fishing water bodies. The document is not applicable to ponds and water bodies destined for aquaculture. Fishing water bodies are classified as: a. fishing water bodies conceded on lease for industrial fisheries and catch of aquatic invertebrates, and also for the organization of charged artisanal fishing; b. fishing water bodies pertaining to state reserve stock of fishing water bodies. The following activities can be carried out in fishing water bodies: industrial fisheries and catch of aquatic invertebrates, including skin-diving, and also procurement of aquatic invertebrates for personal consumption. Artisanal fishing and procurement of aquatic invertebrates for personal consumption shall be carried out by natural persons free of charge in all water basins, except for reserves, fish-farming enterprises, ponds and other aquaculture farms, sanitary protection belts of potable water supply systems and protected areas that are included in the list of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, with the use of authorized fishing methods and fishing gear. Artisanal fishing in the water basins included in the list of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection shall be carried out in accordance with fishing charges.
