Law No. 293-Z “On energy saving”.

This Law regulates relations in the sphere of energy saving related to fuel and energy resources, equipment producing and consuming them, technological processes related to energy consumption, transportation and storage of fuel and energy resources. State regulation of energy saving shall be based upon the following principles: (a) raising energy security; (b) efficient and rational management of fuel and energy resources; (c) priority of introduction of energy saving equipment, technology and materials; (d) establishment of indices in the sphere of energy saving; (e) rate setting for consumption fuel and energy resources; (f) state expertise of energy saving and energy efficiency; and (g) supervision in the sphere of energy saving.
