Ministerial Decree No. 434 regulating some issues of consumer information as regards alimentary raw materials and foodstuffs.

The Premier decrees to establish that legal and natural persons carrying out the processing and trade of alimentary raw materials and foodstuffs manufactured with the utilization of GMOs and food additives: 1) must specify on each label the presence or the contents of GMOs (or the components thereof) and food additives; 2) must produce at the request of the inspecting authority and consumers the documents certifying food safety and food quality of the products manufactured with the utilization of GMOs and food additives. In the process of the state registration and compulsory certification of alimentary raw materials and foodstuffs there must be carried out compulsory inspection as regards the presence therein of GMOs and food additives. Manufacturing and trade of infant food manufactured with the utilization of GMOs (or the components thereof) shall be prohibited.
