Ministerial Decree No. 91 setting up the State Fishing Inspection.

The Cabinet of Ministers decrees to set up the State Fishing Inspection entitling it with the following functions: 1) protection of fish stocks and other aquatic animals and aquatic plants, elaboration and application of the arrangements for stock enhancement and rational use thereof; 2) enforcement of the fisheries regulations; 3) carrying out the arrangements for the prevention of pollution of the waterbodies, and other negative impacts on fish stocks, aquatic animals and aquatic plants; 4) environmental impact assessment of the construction and reconstruction projects that may have impact upon the fishing waterbodies; 5) regulation of artisanal and sport fishing.
