Presidential Decree No. 27 validating the Regulation on the State Inspectorate for the Protection of the Wild Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The State Inspectorate is authorized state body subordinate to the President of the Republic of Belarus, exercising state control over: (a) protection and use of wild animals related to hunting and fishing species, land under wild-growing trees and shrubs (plantations), trees and shrubs that are not part of the forest fund, except for trees and shrubs within the boundaries of populated areas and included in the national Red Book; (b) protection, conservation, reproduction and use of the forest fund; (c) management of fishing industry and fishing; and (d) management of hunting industry and hunting. The main task of the State Inspectorate is to implement state control within the limits of its competence. The State Inspectorate, within the limits of its competence: (a) independently or jointly with other controlling (supervisory) bodies, exercises state control over the execution of legislative acts by state bodies, other legal entities, citizens, including individual entrepreneurs, by: conducting inspections and field events; using preventive and precautionary measures; (b) independently or in cooperation with other state bodies and other legal entities, exercises functions to prevent, detect and suppress offenses; (c) conducts administrative proceedings; (d) takes measures to ensure its own security; (e) considers appeals from citizens and legal entities, organizes personal reception of citizens, their representatives, representatives of legal entities; (f) implements state policy in the field of ideology and work with personnel in the State Inspectorate; (g) in the established manner, conducts mass sports events, as well as events aimed at physical training, protection and strengthening of the health of employees of the State Inspectorate; and (h) performs other functions in accordance with the laws and acts of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
