Presidential Decree No. 364 validating the Regulation on distribution of forests by protection categories, transfer of forests from one protection group or protection category to another, and also allocation of particularly protected forests.

This Presidential Decree establishes the modalities of distribution of forests by protection categories, transfer of forests from one protection group or protection category to another, and also allocation of particularly protected forests. The forests are divided in two groups (group one and group two) and the forests pertaining to group one are distributed by protection categories in accordance with the Annex 1. Group one shall include the following types of forests: (a) protected areas, national parks, forest reserves; (b) forests of cultural heritage, scientific and genetic value; (c) anti-erosion forests; and (d) sanitary and hygienic, and also recreational forests. Forests excluded from group one, mostly commercial forests, shall pertain to group two.
