Presidential Decree No. 437 “On forest management and timber trade.”

This Presidential Decree establishes that presentation by legal entities conducting forestry, subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry, for stock exchange trading of timber lots related to standing timber shall not be authorized, with the exception of the possibility of selling standing timber for harvesting during final felling in the soft-leaved group of tree species in hard-to-reach areas, clear sanitary felling in public forests transferred to their jurisdiction. Forest land plots classified as hard-to-reach are indicated in forest management projects. At the exchange trading of JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" can be concluded in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation on commodity exchanges, contracts for the provision of timber harvesting services.
