Abstract
These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 86 of the Belize Agricultural Health Authority Act (Chapter 211). They provide for poultry health regulations in respect of commercial poultry establishments in Belize. The Belize Agricultural Health Authority (Authority) is the competent authority for implementation of these regulations. Part II of the regulations requires registration of commercial poultry establishments and provides for procedure thereof. Part III lays down the duties of owners including maintaining records of movements of live birds, poultry products, animal feed and poultry by-products for the purposes of traceability, adoption of biosecurity measures, record keeping etc. Part IV requires the Authority to undertake disease control measures such as epidemiological surveillance, implement Poultry Disease Programme and other measures as provided therein. Part V provides for conditions for import and export of poultry and poultry products.
