Abstract
These Regulations make provision for disciplinary powers of the International Merchant Marine Registry (IMMARBE) of Belize pursuant to sections 24, 25, and 26 of the Registration of Merchant Ships Act. they apply to all vessels registered by IMMARBE. IMMARBE may at its discretion refuse an application for registration of a vessel when such registration, in its opinion, is "contrary to the national or public interest". IMMARBE may also order the detention at any port in the world of any Belizean vessel violating the regulations on maritime safety or the pollution of the marine environment. (15 sections)
