Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to lands in the domain of the state. In particular, it applies to all lands that form part of the domain of the State, including the beds of watercourses and lakes and the parts of the bed of the St. Lawrence river and the Gulf of St. Lawrence belonging to Québec by right of sovereignty. The Minister shall prepare and update a public catalogue in which all lands shall be identified and localized, as well he shall prepare - in cooperation with the government departments concerned – a land use plan for any part of the domain of the State he determines. The text consists of 8 chapters as follows: Application (I); Land management (II); Granting of land rights (III); Control of use of lands (IV); Cancellation of rights (V); Penalties (VI); Regulations (VII); Miscellaneous and transitional provisions (VIII).
