Abstract
This Regulation, implementing provisions of the Manitoba Agricultural Service Corporation Act, establishes a production insurance programme, referred to as AgriInsurance Programme, for the purposes of providing insurance for the following kinds of loss or damage: loss or damage beyond the insured person's control to an insured crop by reason of a designated peril; loss beyond the insured person's control respecting land not seeded by reason of a designated peril for excess moisture insurance; loss or damage beyond the insured person's control respecting eligible forage establishment crops by reason of a designated peril during the period of establishment; loss or damage respecting the failure of eligible polycrop establishment crops to achieve establishment by reason of a designated peril; loss beyond the insured person's control respecting saskatoon or strawberry plants by reason of a designated peril during the period of establishment; for loss or damage beyond the insured person's control to an eligible vegetable crop by reason of a designated peril; for a pasture shortfall during the period of insurance for pasture days insurance by reason of a designated peril; for an inability to harvest coarse hay due to excessive moisture. The Regulation concerns: designated perils, including: drought, diseases, flood, excessive heat, excessive moisture, excessive rainfall, fire, frost, hail, wind; eligibility for insurance and rights of landlord; application for a contract; insurable crops and guaranteed grades; coverage levels; pasture days insurance coverage; harvest flood option and enhanced quality option coverage; hay disaster benefit; crop coverage; vegetable acreage loss insurance coverage; small farm acreage loss pilot programme insurance.
