Abstract
The present Act establishes a corporation known as the “Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation”. The purposes of the corporation are to support and encourage the sustainability, development and diversification of agriculture and the rural economy of Manitoba by providing programs and services as set out in this Act; moreover, it deals with the development of other programmes, services and responsibilities officially assigned to it. Under the Act, the Lieutenant Governor is empowered to pass regulations necessary for the implementation of the Act. The text consists of 85 sections divided into 8 Parts.
